Det er utgitt mange bøker om rasen vår, både rene oppslagsverk, men også historiske bøker og biografier. Noen av bøkene kan være litt vanskelig å få tak i, men følger du med på antikvariater, på ebay eller på de forskjellige ulvehundklubbenes sider, så kan du være heldig. Også på veldedighetsauksjoner på Facebook er det ofte fine skatter å finne. Ellers vil mange av bøkene selges gjennom de forskjellige nasjonale ulvehundklubbene og også gjennom FIWC (Federation of Irish Wolfhound Clubs)
Listen nedenfor er på ingen måte komplett, men dekker en del av utgivelsene om rasen. I tillegg er det gitt ut en lang rekke årbøker, jubileumsbøker og nasjonale bøker med historie om rasen, ikke minst i vår egen klubb der boken Irsk ulvehund i Norge, laget av Irsk Ulvehundklubb Norge med Anne Mette Mikkelsen som redaktør, er et ettertraktet samleobjekt. Også Remi og Steinar Stenersens bok Irsk Ulvehund i Skandinavia gir et godt bilde av rasehistorien her i nord.
